Just wondering. Do any of you (all 1 or 2 of you) have any idea which is better?

Is it better for a publisher to take a long time in responding or respond quickly?

My submission to the small publisher was done 3 months ago. They said they would respond in 2 to 8 months. I'm pretty sure they said they would respond either way.

Any possible answers from any of you?
