Resuming the Query Process

(What do Mormons Believe:

We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

Okay, as I promised, I'm beginning to send out queries to agents. I think my book is close enough to being critiqued that by the time I actually get a response from an agent, I will have it ready.

Yesterday, I sent my query to a well-respected agency. I'm not holding my breath, but hoping for the best. Next week I'll send to a few more, then wait to see what kinds of responses I get.

Wish me luck.

  2. Thank you Rebecca,

Port Costa is a tiny town in the San Francisco Bay Area. It's on the Carquinez Straits between Crockett and Martinez. If you don't know where Crockett is, it's just south of Vallejo.

I grew up in Port Costa, and went to high school in Crockett. The towns of Rodeo and Tormey were also part of our high school community. I dated girls from each of these towns. Even though we were from different towns, we were like one big community.

  3. Good luck, indeed! It's so hard to put yourself out there like that -- especially after 21 years of labor -- but it's the only way to get where you want to be. Know I'm one of the "new faithful" who is looking forward to following your success!

I would LOVE to read "GERTA!" It sounds like it falls in the Star Girl genre -- fantabulous!

  4. Welcome aboard with all my other faithful few followers, Kerry. Gee, I'm probably up to 4 by now. Anyway, I'm glad to meet you here.

I'm not sure what a Star Girl genre is, but I hope "GERTA!" sells anyway. maybe I should post my pitch for that one again, though I'm not actively working on it at the time. I'm trying to get "Sweet Revenge" done first, then I can devote my time to "GERTA!"
